Several people have asked recently about locating the Loeb Classical Library editions in AncMed.
The Loeb collection in AncMed was designed as a browsing collection, so there is only a single CLIO entry for the entire collection. Individual titles in the collection *do* appear in CLIO, but those are only for circulating copies in GLX or MIL.
The AncMed Loebs are only listed under a series entry. You can find the call-number in one of two ways:
1) Do a title search in CLIO on "Loeb Classical Library" and go through 735 entries until you find the one for the series. (This is a good example of why it would be VERY NICE to limit CLIO location searches by Reading Rooms.)
2) Go to the AncMed room page and click "Floorplan" in the sidebar. The map at the top shows exactly where the Loebs are located (they are even color-coded red and green). Doing a Ctrl-F search for "Loeb" on that page will take you to the entry that gives the exact call-number.
I have discussed cataloging individual AncMed Loeb titles with Ilona Bicsak and Dave Motson, and it has been given a low priority for cataloging.
Any further questions, please direct to Karen Green.
I find the complete catalogue useful: http://www.hup.harvard.edu/loeb/ (author, title or subject). If the author's "minor" he (or she?) might be hidden in a collected volume. SGW
I've added the above link to the list of sets on the AncMed floorplan page:
